What Is the Hardie Fire Intertenancy Wall System?
The Hardie Fire Intertenancy Wall System is a CodeMark certified, fire and acoustic rated common wall solution designed for Class 1 and 10A timber-framed buildings. A high performance, efficient lightweight wall system with a single layer design — it achieves a Fire Resistance Level (FRL) of 60/60/60 minutes and installs up to 30% faster than other comparable commonly available fire and acoustic rated wall systems in Australia.
At the core of every assembly is HardieFire™ Rock-wool Insulation — a fire resistant, non-combustible mineral wool product installed within the stud bays of a twin 90mm timber frame, lined with 9mm Villaboard on both sides. Up to 18% more compact than traditional common plasterboard shaftliner wall systems, it delivers significant increases in usable living space and increased land yield — making it the preferred choice for developers working on townhouses, terraces, and multi-occupancy projects across Australia.
