Wall / Acoustic insulation
Wall insulation works by filling the empty space in a wall with material that reduces transfer of heat. Acoustic insulation, or sound insulation as you might have heard it be called, is a special insulating material type that offers both soundproofing and thermal resistance. It is vice versa with acoustic insulation, as the thermal properties are less effective than regular thermal insulation.
