Wall / Acoustic insulation
Wall insulation works by filling the empty space in a wall with material that reduces transfer of heat. This stops the movement of air within the space, preventing convection, and can substantially reduce space heating costs. Insulating your walls can save up to 25% of heat transfer in and out of your home, providing a more comfortable and energy efficient environment for you and your family.
Acoustic insulation, or sound insulation as you might have heard it be called, is a special insulating material type that offers both soundproofing and thermal resistance. Thermal insulation also offers soundproofing up to some extent, but is obviously less effective than acoustic insulation. It is vice versa with acoustic insulation, as the thermal properties are less effective than regular thermal insulation.
