Installing Underfloor Foilboard Insulation Panels

For best results, install Foilboard Insulation Panels and Underfloor Saddles after fixing the joists but before laying flooring. Ensure that all underfloor services, such as plumbing, are completed before installation. Secure the saddles to the floor joists at intervals of 600mm, pressing insulation panels into the saddles’ lock-in flaps to maximize thermal efficiency.

Calculating Insulation Quantities

1. Measure the area and add 5% for cutting waste.
2. For 2.44m sheets, divide by 2.93 to determine sheet requirements. For 2.7m sheets, divide by 3.24.
3. Space saddles at 600mm centers and 200mm from sheet ends.
4. Use fasteners for reinforcement, securing panels across joists with three fasteners per joist.

Typically, one bag of saddles covers about 45-50m², with one roll of Green Tape needed per 100m².
