Trade Select ThermalBreak 7 Insulation (TSTB7-30) is a high-performance foil foam insulation designed specifically for multi-level residential and commercial construction projects. It features a Class 2 Vapour Barrier, offering superior thermal and moisture protection. This reflective insulation is suitable for both steel and timber framed buildings, making it versatile for various applications. Its closed-cell XPE foam core is combined with double-sided reflective surfaces, where one side has anti-glare foil and the other side plain foil, providing effective heat reflection and energy efficiency.

ThermalBreak 7 is a three-in-one insulation solution: it acts as an Extra Heavy Duty thermal break, a reflective insulation, and a vapour barrier. This product exceeds the requirements set forth by the National Construction Code (NCC), ensuring an R-value of R0.20 for thermal breaks in steel framed buildings, while also being compatible with timber frames. Its design minimizes thermal bridging, which helps reduce heat transfer and energy consumption within buildings.

The insulation’s 7.8 mm core is constructed from chemically cross-linked, closed-cell XPE foam, making it lightweight yet durable. Additionally, it features a 150 mm overlap flap, which simplifies installation by eliminating the need for extra overlapping materials, reducing waste. The reflective foil provides an emissivity of 0.03 on one side and 0.05 on the other, ensuring superior performance in managing both heat gain and loss.
